Call for Papers
ICS is the premier international forum for the presentation of research results in parallel, distributed and high-performance computing systems.
The 22nd annual conference will include invited talks, technical presentations, tutorials, workshops, and panels. The conference will take place on the Greek island of Kos, which combines ancient history (it is the birthplace of Hippocrates) and the magnificent natural beauty of the Aegean islands.
Papers are solicited on all aspects of research, development, and application of supercomputing and high-performance systems, including but not limited to:
- Computationally challenging scientific and commercial applications;
- Supercomputing systems, high-performance and power-aware micro-architectures, multithreaded, multi-core and multiprocessor systems, interconnection networks, memory hierarchy and parallel I/O;
- The use of commodity systems for high-performance computing, e.g., GPGPU, accelerators;
- Restructuring and optimizing compilers, runtime systems, programming models, application development and performance tuning tools, large-scale Internet and Grid computing, operating systems and software components at all levels;
- Performance evaluation studies;
- Theoretical aspects of any of these topics.
Papers should not exceed 6,000 words, and should be submitted electronically, in pdf format via the paper submission form that is available at http://ics08.hpclab.ceid.upatras.gr. Any reasonable page layout may be used for submission. A specific layout for publication will be provided to the authors of accepted papers. A blind submission format is not required but may be used at the discretion of the authors.
Workshop and tutorial proposals are also solicited and are due by February 3rd, 2008. Instructions for submission of proposals are available on the ICS'08 web site.
